JAMMU, Oct 2: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a reshuffle in the Forest Department, transferring and posting several Assistant Conservators of Forests (ACFs) and assigning additional charges to senior forest officers with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 213-JK(FST) of 2026, issued by the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment on October 1, Anurag Arya, IFS, DCF and DFO Jammu Forest Divisionhas been assigned the additional charge of Deputy Director, Forest Protection Force (FPF), Gama Unit J-02, Sidhra, till further orders.
Waseem Farooq Mir, DCF and DFO Bandipora Forest Division, has been given the additional charge of General Manager, Extraction Circle North, Sopore, J&K Forest Development Corporation Limited (JKFDCL).
Altat Hussain Dentoo, DCF, awaiting adjustment in the office of PCCF & HoFF, J&K, has been posted as DFO Shopian Forest Division, replacing Qamar Rashid Khan, ACF.
Sagar Singh, ACF and In-charge DFO Batote Forest Division, has been assigned the additional charge of Deputy Director, FPF, Batote.
Vijay Kumar, ACF, awaiting adjustment in the office of PCCF & HoFF, J&K, has been directed to look after the charge of DFO Ramnagar Forest Divisionreplacing Naresh Majotra, ACF.
Meanwhile, Mushtaq Hussain Choudhary, ACF and In-charge DFO Poonch Forest Division, has been transferred and posted as DSCO Rajouri, relieving S. Amrik Singh, ACF, of the additional charge.
Naresh Majotra, ACF and In-charge DFO Ramnagar Forest Division, has been transferred and assigned the charge of DFO Poonch Forest Division in place of Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary.
Oamar Rashid Khan, ACF and In-charge DFO Shopian Forest Division, has been transferred and directed to look after the charge of DFO Social Forestry Poonch, relieving Ranjeev Sharma, ACF, of the additional charge.
