Srinagar, Oct 3: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and Additional Secretary (Foreigners & UT), Union Ministry of Home Affairs, Nitesh Vyas, on Friday reviewed the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) and progress of ongoing development projects across Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting at SKICC stressed time-bound completion of projects, effective utilisation of funds, regular field-level monitoring and saturation of eligible beneficiaries under various welfare and development schemes.
Dulloo directed departments to adopt an outcome-oriented approach, ensuring that infrastructure and services created under government programmes deliver sustained and measurable benefits. He also called for early identification of implementation gaps and prompt corrective action.
Vyas stressed inter-departmental coordination, optimal use of resources and regular monitoring, urging departments and implementing agencies to maintain close coordination with concerned Union ministries to resolve bottlenecks.
The meeting reviewed a wide range of sectors, including education, skilling, power, digital connectivity, social security, urban development, health, rural housing, tourism, fisheries, sanitation and drinking water.
Progress under Samagra Shiksha, PM SHRI Schools, PMKVY, PM-SETU, PM Surya Ghar-Muft Bijli Yojana, smart metering, RDSS and BharatNet Phase-III was examined.
Social sector schemes reviewed included PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMMVY, POSHAN 2.0 and Saksham Anganwadi, while the health review covered Ayushman Bharat Digital Health, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, PM-JAY, NHM, TB Mukt Bharat and National AYUSH Mission.
The meeting also reviewed AMRUT 2.0, PMAY-U, SBM-U, PMAY-G, Swadesh Darshan, PRASHAD, PM-eBus, PMMSY, FIDF, Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin).
Later, Dulloo and Vyas held another meeting to review implementation of the New Criminal Laws and the new legal framework relating to immigration and foreigners management in J&K.
