Alleges lack of clarity over treatment, seeks details of medical expenses
Jammu Tawi, October 5: The family of a woman who died during treatment at Ujala Cygnus JK Medicity Hospital, located on NH-1, Narwal Bye Pass Road, Sunjwan, Jammu, has raised questions over the circumstances surrounding her treatment and death and sought a fair and impartial inquiry.
The allegations made by the family have not been independently verified.
According to the family, the woman was administered an injection after reaching the hospital, following which they allegedly did not receive clear information about her medical condition. The family has also alleged that the body was packed without obtaining their consent.
A family member said they received an urgent call asking them to reach the hospital, as doctors allegedly wanted to speak to them. However, shortly after reaching the hospital, they were informed about the woman’s death.
The family has also questioned the hospital bill, alleging that a substantial amount was charged during the treatment. They have sought a detailed account of the treatment provided, medicines administered and other expenses incurred during her hospital stay.
The family said the death had left them in shock and demanded clarity about the sequence of events and the circumstances leading to the woman’s death.
The matter is subject to investigation, and the allegations will require verification by the police and other competent authorities before any conclusion can be drawn.
